Bener Meriah Regency
Bener Meriah Regency is a regency in Aceh province, Indonesia. The regency covers an area of 1,457 square kilometres and according to the 2000 census had a population of 65,018 people.Its capital is Simpang Tiga Redelong. Until 2003 the territory of this regency was part of Central Aceh Regency.

This district is known as Radio Rimba Raya, the only radio of the Republic of Indonesia in its struggle for independence from Dutch colonial hands, measuring one kilowatt, using a signal calling "Voice of Radio Republik Indonesia" and "Suara Merdeka", working at frequencies 19.25 and 61 meter, radio broadcast airs Rimba Raya independence of the Republic of Indonesia to various State in 1945. Geographically, Bener Meriah keep promising tourism potential, this area is frequently visited by foreign tourists. Among the hills towering in the area, there is a volcano with Telong Burni name. Predicted volcano is still active it is not far from the center or the distance of about 2.5 km from the city Redelong.

Bener Meriah covers the northern part of Central Aceh bordered by Bireuen, North Aceh and Central Aceh regencies.
