University Kiron said, all students need a computer and an internet connection. For those who do not have internet access can be offline by downloading when no internet access.
To register for this online university, the student must submit documents including the recognition of refugee status from the UNHCR. To fund its activities, non-profit university has collected 216 636 dollars before launching this October. The funds collected voluntarily.
Kiron University spokesman, Tim Brandt told Aljazirah, this idea was born in the summer of 2014. At that time the founder Vincent Zimmer and Mark Kressler discuss their vision at a conference.
Vincent, said he wanted to start a revolution in higher education by developing a new type of university. "The University offered to refugees who do not have access to higher education," he said.
